NOT ALL PHOTOGRAPHED LOCATIONS SHOULD BE SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA
We know it may seem counter intuitive to have a website advertising Zion while asking visitors to keep certain locations a secret. Over-visitation to many bucket list destinations has caused them to be less enjoyable and even damaged in some cases. Plants, animals, and the environment all suffer when crowds of humans ignore guidelines and laws to get photos and videos for social media. We understand that Zion is not a secret by any means, but as we move forward together, let's make sure we are considerate guests. We suggest sharing your photos without detailed location information.

THE SECRET IS NOT TO TELL THE SECRET
You won't catch us sharing GPS data or encouraging crowds. In fact, we hope you will quietly experience your own adventures here and let people wonder where your photos were taken.

Traffic, litter, long lines and frustration... those aren't what we want people to think of when they hear the words Zion National Park. Sadly, in recent years, visitation has caused an increase in all of the above. How can you make a difference? See the Zion Pledge, take only photographs, and leave only footprints.
