Nat'l Park & Private Campgrounds
Take sleeping outdoors to the next level.
Enjoy your surroundings
in style.
Zion National Park is a world class destination. Accommodations in the surrounding area range from
4-star hotels that book months in advance, to campsites or glamping spots you can reserve on site or shortly before your trip.
Depending what kind of experience you are hoping to have while here, we can help point you in the right direction. Since we're local, we haven't stayed in every location shared here by any means, but we'd definitely love to! We hope you'll share your feedback about your experiences in Utah. Safe travels!

Virgin, Utah, what a fun way to glamp! Sites at various locations via TripAdvisor
On the east side of Zion there is glamping galore... info

Springdale has plenty of rooms for rent in various hotels and motels, you can choose locally owned or corporate locations. The Pioneer Lodge (shown here) is a Historical Site and was one of the first places to stay for those visiting the canyon. We suggest making reservations well in advance for all rooms in Springdale or at Zion Lodge. La Verkin, Hurricane, & nearby St. George have rooms available year round. We recommend St. George.
We love Kanab because it's centrally located between Zion, Bryce & Lake Powell. The Parry Lodge in Kanab (above) is a fun place with a lot of history and is located within walking distance of vegan food and activities. Kanab used to be known as Utah's Hollywood, now it's home to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. (See section below.) If you want to stay in Kanab, the site linked here has you covered for booking your stay.
Best Friends is the largest no-kill animal sanctuary in the US.
Animal guests ok! Cabins, cottages, RV sites, rooms with suites and more.
Depending on the season you will have more options than others. For warm weather seasons, plan early and reserve months to a year or more in advance. In colder months you will find available campsites in some but not all campgrounds or locations.
Nearby towns like Hurricane, St. George, or Kanab have shopping but only Walmart in Hurricane has Dandies marshmallows. Stock up at Whole Foods in Las Vegas or another similarly sized city or town if in doubt.
Nearby areas will have locations for camping, check La Verkin, Hurricane, or St. George to the south, Orderville, or Kanab to the east.
Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.
